I'd like to overseed one of my pastures w/ annual rye for grazing this winter. The area is pretty sparse of vegetation so my plan is to broadcast w/ a cone spreader while dragging a piece of chainlink fence behind the tractor. Given the dry conditions should I wait until some rain to do it or go ahead now? Also, how many lbs./acre would you recommend? I would also like to add some legumes to the mix. What types would y'all recommend for braodcast seeding? Thanks! |
