Al We live west of Buffalo Gap and had success with "hay grazer" (a sudan hybrid) in the summer and rye grass in the winter. Just started messing with this on 20 acres so we learning as we go. The moisture content is the most important thing especially with the hay grazer. From what I understand extreme dry conditions can cause a buildup of nitrates and result in poisoning of livestock.
