I am looking for a good legume to overseed our coastal pastures in a MIG system located in Hill County (just north of Hillsboro). Our soils are sandy to sandy loam, with PH's from 6.0-6.5. I have read some good articles about Ball Clover and its reseeding abilities. I like the idea of not having to reestablish every few years. We have some K-Line irrigation in place to allow us to get anything started off with good moisture. We also have a Max Q Fescue pasture that we are experimenting with and will try using a legume with that once it gets established. I just want to make sure that Ball Clover would work well in our area or if there is another clover or mix that some might suggest. I am also wondering if we have missed the window of opportunity for planting? Would a late winter (maybe february 15 or a little later) planting work? Anyone have good results with high stock densities treading in broadcast Ball Clover?

Thanks,
Blaine
