I just discovered this wonderful website!
We have 3 acres of Bermuda grass horse pasture, currently infiltrated by broad-leafed fuzzy-headed grasses, some blue stem and some weeds. I spray the weeds when the wind isn’t blowing. (We live near Lubbock).
I’m desperate for an easier way to control the weeds and grasses and keep the Bermuda grass as it makes wonderful pasture.
· Is there a pre-emergent safe for horse pasture? · How about a granular one? · Or is there something else you would recommend to solve my problem?
We will be grateful for any help you can provide.
Thanks, Bob

From Larry Redmon, State Forage Specialist, TAMU: 1. There is no pre-emergent herbicide labeled for pasture. 2. Spot treat undesirable grasses with 2% Roundup in water and fertilize based on soil test recommendations.
