Funding institution/organisation for grassland research

: Hi Member, : I am a vegetation ecologist and currently working with a research institute in the arid region of western India. Our institute is focussing different issues of ecological problems including the degradation of grasslands mainly due to invasion of exotic woody species like Prosopis juliflora. The area also faces the problem of salinity. The community dependence on these grasslands are, however, very substantial. In terms of biodiversity values also these grasslands are quite potential. : The problem I am facing is the paucity of funds for multidisciplinary research to understand the ecology of these grassland and thus their sustainable management solutions. We tried several, within country, sources for funding such a research but the efforts did not produce much result. Is there any international donar agency, who can fund such a research projects.
