Experience
Philip has a background in spatial ecology and modeling of land cover and wildlife habitat distributions. His background  includes working with the National Gap Analysis Program, two state GAP programs, the US Forest Services, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US National Park Services, and serving as a consultant in spatial ecology for numerous clients in the public and private sectors. At CNRIT he is responsible to the Afghanistan PEACE Project where he is involved in mapping grazing land and modeling forage production.


Interests
Philip keeps busy with grass roots conservation efforts in Central America, birdwatching, playing guitar, learning Spanish and French, and riding his 1986 R65 'airhead' BMW motorcycle. He also volunteers with the Brazos County Museum of Natural History in Bryan, TX.

 

Technical Skills
Geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing and image processing, and desktop office and graphics applications.
